Service Manager - New Children's Provision

Eden Brown Synergy has an opportunity for an ambitious Service Manager (Children Services) to assist in setting up x2 Independent Children's Homes in Gloucester

The purpose of this role is to assist with

• Setting up of two independent children's homes (11-17 years) and the delivery of high standard children's home. The new service will be ran using Therapeutic Principles, and have Attachment Theory as one of the key pillars of the service.
• Help create and maintain a non-institutionalised, child, young person & adult centred home in which people are enabled to grow in all areas of their lives, to work towards emotional stability and to develop to their full potential
• Ensure high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, homely accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with home's Procedures and Strategies and in line with The Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
• Managing, motivating and developing your staff team.
• Building and maintaining appropriate positive relationships with young people, outside agencies/professionals and colleagues.
• Managing conflict with positive outcomes
• Safeguarding all young people residing in your homes and your staff team

Requirements for this role:

• Previous experience in setting up high standard Ofsted registered children's homes
• Experience in providing outstanding quality of care in line with the Children's home Regulations and Quality Standards
• Experience managing a residential home and services for children
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and OFSTED requirements governing children's residential care services.
• Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 5 in leadership & management, social care, children services), or working towards.
