AddressPetrol Station Manager, Staxton, Scarborough, Salary £14.25 per hour
Shell Co-op Staxton is a petrol station at the end of the A64 some 7 miles from Scarborough with a variety of unleaded and diesel products including Shell V-Power Unleaded and Shell V-Power Diesel. It is a 24 hour station with a wide range of services including Co-op products, Deli by Shell and Costa Express.
We’re now seeking a Manager – someone to lead a team of staff and take charge of the day-to-day running of the site.
Setting an example to staff by always demonstrating a high level of customer service, you will ensure that the site is well presented, and all point of sale is displayed in accordance with planograms. You will action all promotions in a timely manner and ensure that all stock is controlled efficiently, replenishing regularly, placing stock orders and overseeing deliveries. Managing and maintaining all site systems such as back-office IT and CCTV, you will ensure that all paperwork and site administration is carried out effectively as well as managing the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment.
As this is a managerial position, you’ll also be responsible for managing staff rotas to ensure that there is optimum cover available to ensure the smooth running of the site, assuming ultimate responsibility for keeping the site open should cover be unavailable. You’ll motivate staff effectively to ensure that they always conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, delivering an exceptional level of customer service, conducting on the job training when required. You’ll carry out informal performance discussions and ensure holiday arrangements are managed effectively.
This is a permanent, full-time role for 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is a must.
All that we ask is that you have previous experience of working as a Manager or Supervisor in a busy retail environment. You’ll need to be highly organised, self-motivated, computer literate and pride yourself in delivering an excellent customer service.
