What They Do: Our client are a Supplier of industrial products and services, specializing in: Hydraulic hoses, including on-site replacement. Quality compressors and pneumatics, with on-site servicing Quality welders and consumables Hydraulic power packs and components Oils, lubricants, and greases, along with associated pumps, funnels, nozzles, etc. Pressure wash machines, hoses, lances, spares, and components Metal removal tools (drill bits, grinding & cutting discs) PPE hi viz clothing and safety boots Vehicle and trailer lighting components Power distribution products - bearings, belts Service Technician/Depot Colleague:
Main Tasks: Utilize a well-equipped van to service compressors and perform on-site hydraulic hose replacements. Assist customers in selecting products and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance. Craft hydraulic hoses and occasionally order products from suppliers. Use the Sage account package for recording customer transactions. Answer phone inquiries and provide exemplary customer service. Help out in the depot, occasionally engaging in hands-on tasks and deliveries. Training Provided: Site work - Quarry Passport Compressor servicing and repair - Supplier-based training Hydraulic hose assembly - In-house Sage Accounts Package - In-house Helping customer select products appropriate to their needs. Dispensing advice, banter and help Making hydraulic hoses (training given) Using Sage accounts package to record what each customer takes. Answering phone enquiries Occasionally ordering products from suppliers Person Specification: Engineering/technical/service background or aptitude Reasonably fit and strong for occasional heavy lifting or accessing equipment in challenging positions. Personable - forming positive relationships with staff and customers is essential. High level of patience - the job involves extensive customer contact which can be demanding. Flexibility - we encourage utilizing staff strengths, creating the best working environment, and fostering happy, loyal staff. Flexible attitude to working hours - we accommodate personal commitments with a willingness to adapt. Reasonable level of numeracy and literacy High level of patience - Job involves lots of customer contact which can be taxing. Flexible attitude to working hours - important stuff always seems to happen at the beginning and end of the normal working day. We match this flexibility to try and fit in around your personal commitments. Basic engineering knowledge useful.
