Salary/rate: Hourly (GBP16.00 - GBP19.00) including 25 Days paid holiday + bank holidays

Requirements: 40-hour week, Monday Friday (8:00am 4:30pm). Option of finish at lunchtime on Friday if hours are achieved. Overtime rate x1.5.

5D are woking with a leading business in Letchworth who manufacture high quality engineered parts to a variety of industries from pharmaceutical through to automotive. with over 45 years of experience in manufacturing they specialise in Sheet Metal laser cutting, fabrication and welding and are now recruiting for a Welder Fabricator.

About the role:

A Welder Fabricator will be working with a variety of materials to assemble and weld components to an exceptional quality to meet our customers requirements.

Responsibilities for the Welder Fabricator

• Prepare sub-assemblies
• Measure, cut, and weld pieces together in accordance to customer specifications
• Weld using T.I.G or M.I.G
• Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind surface and joints to achieve seamless appearance
• Ensure all jobs are complete on time and to the desired quality
• Manage welding rods storage
• Ensure all quality standards and safety guidelines are adhered to throughout the facility
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment

Candidate requirements:

• Able to read interpret engineering drawings
• High attention to detail
• work to tight dimensional tolerances
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision
• Able to work in a fast pace environment
• 5 Year Experience in a similar role
