Manpower is currently looking for Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to start work ASAP for our successful manufacturing client based in Pocklington.
As part of our Fabrication Team, you will be responsible for producing components that form the basis of all the companies products. You will use a variety of hand and power tools as well as large equipment, predominantly the CNC Press Brake using Sheet Metal practices to fabricate Sheet Metal pieces to a high standard, and preparing them for Powder Coating. The use of MIG & TIG Welding is also required.
We are looking for candidate with previous experience :
* Good Knowledge and Experience of Sheet Metal practices.
* Experience of MIG and TIG Welding
* Experience of using Power and Hand Tools
* Programming and Running Press Brake
Key Accountability: Setting and Operating CNC Press Brakes (AMADA), using welding machine.
Main Duties:
Working with various materials such as Mild Steel, Aluminium and Stainless Steel
Setting and Operating machinery (Press Brake, Rollers, PEMserter, Pillar Drill etc)
MIG & TIG Welding Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium parts
Use hand and power tools and equipment to cut and assemble metal parts
Grinding and finishing completed parts
Routing of parts, and completing required documentation
Ensure Quality of parts, and check against Drawings
Maintain and inspect tools/Machinery to ensure they remain in good working condition
Inform the Workshop Manager when materials are running low
Preparing parts for Powder Coating
Assisting with other operations within the business when required, such as Assembly
