Could you be part of a team enabling Sheltered Housing tenants to live in their own home as independently as possible? As a Sheltered Housing Officer with Aberdeenshire Council you will provide support and assist people to maintain their tenancy and live independently in their own accommodation, within a Sheltered Housing scheme and as part of their local community.
There are Sheltered Housing Schemes located in various locations and communities around Aberdeenshire, therefore the post holder will be required to have a flexible approach and willingness to travel, there is a requirement to work from between 8.45am to 5.00pm between Monday and Friday, days are variable, there is also a requirement to work alternate weekends from 9.00am to 1.00pm. So, if you have knowledge and understanding of the needs and rights of older people and those with particular needs, we would like to hear from you.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.
