You will need to be a strong Multi Skilled Shift Engineer ideally with experience in a warehouse environment to carry out not only preventative maintenance but to also respond to breakdowns, taking ownership of problems and keeping down time to a minimum.
If you have a passion for automation this site will not disappoint, with a wide range of manual handling equipment on site including conveyors, storage retrieval systems, mini load cranes and cross belt storage systems to name a few!
Operating 24/7/365 and on occasion you may be required to respond to emergency breakdowns.
Key responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer
- Mechanically; Reading assembly drawings, stripping and re-assembling with hand tools.
- Electrically; System testing, field wiring, system calibration, interpreting circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Strong Attention to detail
- CMMS use
- Service and repair of equipment on site
- Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
- Be open, willing to learn and adapt to role requirements
- Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance
- NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering
- A solid understanding of PLC’s
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
- Confident Computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems
- HNC/HND would also be desirable.
