Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer (Bristol)
As manufacturers of products for global end-users, our client is looking for an accomplished engineer to join their team. This role will require competency in multi skilled and engineering tasks to ensure that their facility remains at a high operational capability.
Working from the manufacturing facility in Bristol, the successful candidate for the Multi Skilled Shift Engineer role will be expected to operate according to a continental shift pattern, working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The nature of the role requires competency in multi skilled and engineering tasks including (but not limited to) fault finding, planned maintenance, preventative maintenance and general engineering duties.
The successful candidate will have a solid manufacturing or engineering background, an eye for detail and a strong ability to problem solve. An appreciation for safety and quality control will also be essential in this role.
The successful candidate will have the following competencies:
* Mechanical maintenance qualifications, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in engineering
* Ability to fault find and resolve mechanical problems
* Ability to read iso drawings
* Ability to understand & evaluate PLC operations
* Understanding of motor control systems
* Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
* Electrically qualified to 17th edition
* Working experience within a modern manufacturing environment
