SalaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager (known internally as a Shift Lead) to join our growing site in Nuneaton!
We are developing the site into a UK centre of excellence for cheese packaging by commissioningtwelve new packing lines throughout 2023 and 2024. The site will accommodate a range of different technologies to enable us to pack our branded and private label cheese products in multiple formats, from snacking through to sliced, grated and block formats. With 4 lines already commissioned, we're recruiting for our final Shift Lead to join our growing team and support with the expansion of the operation!
Shift Pattern: 24/7 rostered working days & nights = 165 shifts per year.
YOU'LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
- Developing and implementing Cl processes for the department to increase line up time and taking responsibility for coaching people to improve their performance.
- Ensuring all quality sampling, testing and documentation regimes are adhered to and the corresponding paperwork is filed as required.
- Implementing and documenting quality systems & HACCP requirements, to adhere to all specified equipment and environmental cleaning regimes that are required.
- Monitoring time and attendance, and review with individuals where lateness/absence levels are below standard and utilise the company Sickness Policy framework and also the Disciplinary Policy.
YOU'RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE…
- Extensive Production Management experience, within the food or dairy industry - advantageous.
- A hands - on approach to manufacturing, with the ability to present findings in an orderly fashion.
- The ability to coach and develop team leaders.
- Advanced problem-solving skills i.e. MIP & Lean Techniques and the ability to implement and sustain a 5s culture.
