We are working exclusively with a growing, family-owned produce supplier, who are part of a wider group and who are dedicated to putting customers first, in the search for a Shift Operations Manager to join their team in Cambridgeshire. As the Shift Operations Manager you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the production areas while leading a team to achieve targets and enhance overall business performance.
The person that will be successful as the Shift Operations Manager will:

As a group they hold a deep passion for farming and, through collaboration with farmers, they supply the biggest names in retail with the finest quality produce, all packed with care on-site. Building on from their long-standing retail partnerships they also hold equally strong relationships within wholesale and processing. With the agricultural nature of the business there is a large focus on sustainability, and they champion this with farming practices that benefit soil, wildlife, and environment. Their farming processes are complemented by wildlife strips that support biodiversity. It is a brilliant opportunity within a dynamic operation where you can make a significant impact, supporting their growth and an opportunity to have a say in shaping their future.
The experience you will need will be:
- Established experience at a Shift Manager or Production Manager level
- A background in food manufacturing
- Proficient in data analysis
- Expertise in managing agency contracts
Some of the key responsibilities of the Shift Operations Manager:
- Lead and develop a highly dynamic team to deliver agreed business targets
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of your department
- Support all aspects of the day to day running of the site to continuously improve the effectiveness of the overall operation
- Identify and lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement within your department
- Implement ‘lean manufacturing processes’ which increase efficiencies and levels of productivity
They are offering the successful candidate circa £45,000 + Bonus and wider benefits.
