SalaryBennett and Game are currently working with a leading Electrical Manufacture actively seeking an experienced Shipping Administrator to join their close-knit office in the Market Harborough location.
Our client are leaders within the Research, Laboratory and Industrial Manufacturing markets and due to recent expansion are looking to expand their Shipping and office-based team. This is a fantastic time to join the business with great growth plans for 2024 onwards.
Shipping Administrator Position Overview
Within this role you will oversee the full shipping procedures of the business. You will work closely with operations and manufacturing departments so strong communication skills will be essential.
You will manage the Shipping system and updates within the business so previous CRM and database management is required.
Strong commercial skill sets in upselling, maximising clients and negotiating rates is a highly desirable skill set.
Shipping Administrator Position Requirements
- Proven experience in managing multi-modal Imports & Exports
- Knowledge of customs documents and procedures
- Knowledge of Asia, US & EU shipping routes and lines
- Experience negotiating shipping rates
- Experience dealing with international suppliers and agents
- IT & CRM literate (especially for raising orders, customs and freight documentation)
- Strong organisation and time management skills
Shipping Supervisor Position Remuneration
- £35 - 40k basic salary
- Monday - Friday (08:30 - 17:30)
- 25 days holiday + banks
