A forward thinking and well established global organisation is to employ a reliable and dedicated Shipping Clerk / Production Operative to join their fun and friendly Shipping Team on a permanent basis.
Location: Southampton
Salary: GBP22,126 per year + commission, bonus
Hours: Monday Thursday 9:30- 18:00 / Friday 9:30-14:45
Roles and responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:
- You will be responsible for completing all warehouse department documentation and work instructions.
- Ensure that all directives issued by management have been met.
- Ensure that all Shipments / pick lists have been completed in accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain your work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ensure that training is up to date and recognize the need for additional and/or continuous training.
- Ensure that the quality of product to be shipped has met the correct standard.
You will be given a fantastic package which includes a basic salary of GBP22,126+ commission, attendance / punctuality bonus, access to a fantastic online Learning and Development programme and you will be trained in a variety of departments to ensure that you are always expanding your personal skills and knowledge. Free parking on site.
Technical competencies of the Shipping Clerk:
- Understanding of the warehouse
- Understanding of correct packaging for shipments
- Understanding of how to transact stock on mainframe system
- Understanding of various types of packaging.
- Understanding of simple mathematics transaction.
- Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail at all times
About You:
You will need to have good communications skills and previous experience in a production/ manufacturing environment is ideal but not essential as my client is more interested in a reliable and dedicated individual. They will happily invest in training you up on the rest.
