We are recruiting for a Shop Supervisor to join our Hackney retail team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work in ending homelessness.
Hours: 40 hours per week, five days over a flexible seven-day rota
Location: Based in Shop from Crisis 330 Mare St, London E8 1HA
About the role
As a Shop Supervisor, you will support the Shop Manager, and work alongside the Assistant Shop Manager and another Shop Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.
As Shop Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing everyday operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience from beginning to end. You will be involved in volunteer recruitment and training, as well as processing donations, engaging with the community, and delivering the highest standard of customer service through your team. You will work towards ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.
You will have the chance to develop your own skills – we encourage training and career development and many of our shop managers were promoted internally.
This role is based primarily in our Hackney shop, which was our first retail shop and has become a well-established and successful part of the community. You will also be expected to work in our other London shops from time to time, for example to cover holidays or illness.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have retail experience at a supervisory level alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. You will be seeking a challenge that stands out from other retail roles, and will be keen to build your people management skills including working with Crisis members. You will be committed to Crisis’s values and mission to end homelessness.
