Manager, Short Term Planning
8 month contract
Location - Uxbridge

Purpose of the role:
Short Term Planning is part of the GB Planning Department which includes: Demand Planning, Production Planning, Materials Planning and Deployment.
The core purpose of this role will be to ensure that the execution of the supply plan is compliant with the mid term plan/guidance whilst delivering the targeted service level, inventories and cost.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the AD, BU Supply Planning, the key responsibilities of the Manager, Short Term Planning are:
- Support the coordination of the detailed/Short Term plan ensuring the compliance with the mid term capacity plan as well as taking the service/cost trade off decisions when there is a deviation.
- Responsible of aligning the Short Term plan with the mid term team and vice versa
- Monitor production/sales alerts daily to coordinate mitigation actions with schedulers, deployment planner and mid term planners
- Weekly S&OP responsibility supporting the preparation of the Short Term supply plans
- Ensure linkage of the mid term plan with the Short Term Planning team through the weekly S&OP routines, escalating risks and opportunities when needed
Skills & Essentials:
- Demonstrate a proven track record in supply chain planning domain
- Previous experience in production planning
- Previous experience in FMCG environment
- Wider cross-functional experience preferable e.g. Commercial, Finance or Supply
- Ability to see the bigger picture – Holistic view
- Continuously improves the performance in terms of total SC cost and customer service
- Excellence in Execution– The ability to effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan, under time constraints and with limited information.
- Strong attention to detail but keeping an E2E planning holistic view
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
