We are seeking a skilled Sign Installation Engineer to join a dynamic team. As a Field-Based Sign Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing signs across various sites. The successful candidate will ensure timely and safe installations, meeting client specifications and adhering to health and safety requirements. Working independently or in teams, you may also supervise an Installation Assistant for larger projects.
Responsibilities:Verify that signs meet clients' specifications, including spelling, font, size, and medium.Safely load and transport signs, tools, and materials to the installation location.Prepare installation sites by removing old signage, preparing surfaces, and securing electrical connections.Execute precise measurements, placements, connections, and installations of signs.Mount and install signs in accordance with safety protocols.Clear debris and materials from sites post-installation.Perform maintenance and repairs on signs as required.Operate and maintain tools and equipment according to safety protocols.Conduct vinyl installations on vehicles, windows, and walls.Supervise the Installation Assistant when working in a team.Always adhere to health and safety requirements.Communicate effectively with the Installation Manager and follow instructions.Distribute workload among team members.Meet tight deadlines and installation dates.Requirements and Attributes:Field-based experience in Sign Installation, demonstrating knowledge of signage and installation techniques.Valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record.Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous labour, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.Ability to work in various weather conditions.Flexibility to work early and late shifts, evenings, and weekends as needed.Excellent communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage jobs from start to finish.Team player with the ability to work independently.Qualifications Required or Training Provided:SPA, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA as a minimum standard.Benefits:Overtime pay after 40 hours.Pension plan.25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays.Simply Health Cashback Scheme.Extra day off for your birthday.Annual pay reviews every January.Fully equipped van with tools provided.Full work wear and PPE supplied
