We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sign Maker/Installer/Vehicle Wrapper to join our growing team in Harrogate.

Job Type: Full-time Permanent position, working Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm

Salary: up to £40,000 pa, dependent on experience and age (starting at £25,000 pa)

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Sign Maker to contribute to our creative and production processes in a versatile environment where no two days are the same. As a Sign Maker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of signs, banners, graphics and displays using various materials and techniques.

Another key part of the role is vehicle graphics and vehicle wrapping. Within this role you will be responsible for applying vinyl wraps to various types of vehicles, ensuring precision, attention to detail, and an immaculate finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle wrap installation techniques and have experience in the industry. Knowledge of basic vehicle stripping is ideal but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sign Production: Create and assemble signs according to design specifications using a variety of materials, including vinyl, acrylic, metal.
• Vehicle Wrapping: Competent with positioning vehicle graphics and applying vehicle wraps. Meticulous attention to detail in vehicle preparation is essential.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain sign-making equipment such as vinyl plotters, large format printers and laminators.
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of finished signs and graphics. Be vigilant with vehicles to assess alignment, colour consistency and overall quality, making adjustments as necessary.
• Material Management: Manage inventory of materials and supplies, placing orders when necessary.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team to interpret design concepts and provide input on feasibility and production considerations.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with clients where necessary, addressing any concerns and ensuring complete satisfaction.
• Installation: Assist with on-site installation of signs, ensuring proper placement and adherence to safety standards.

• Experience in manufacturing and installing signage (essential)
• Experience in vehicle wrapping (essential)
• Excellent practical skills (essential)
• Able to work independently and part of a team (essential)
• Enthusiastic, positive and logical attitude, able to take instruction and feedback (essential)
• Good problem solving skills (essential)
• An excellent communicator, with a professional, helpful and positive attitude. Able to communicate on levels, with upper management, peers and customers. (essential)
• Punctual and Reliable (essential)
• A professional approach to safe working conditions including working at heights on ladders or suspended platforms (essential)
• Computer literate in Microsoft (essential)
• Software knowledge of relevant design packages such as Adobe Illustrator (desirable but not essential)
