Site C&I Commissioning Technician required
Hands-on execution of C&I commissioning activities for a gas power project in UK, until successful handover to the customer. The scope of activities will be:
- Hands-on commissioning of electrical components and instruments such as DCS, including communications to foreign devices, PLCs, control system software, analytical instrumentation, motorised and pneumatic valves, instruments, transmitters, loop checks, etc.
- Carrying out testing on instrumentation against the whole loop (DCS to field), as well as system optimization and troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols.
- Carrying out calibration or verification of the calibration using HART communicator, current/voltage generator etc.
- Co-operation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors, interacting with customers.
- Ensure all the activities conducted on site follow the correct process in accordance with project requirements and in strict compliance with all EHS requirements.
- Understands and executes the equipment clearance (LOTO) procedure, as well as Job Safety Analysis / Work Authorisation / Confined Space / Hot Work Permits.
- Coordination of all necessary activities with all involved parties, such as commissioning team, erection team and sub-contractors.
- Report to the Lead C&I Engineer and C&I Engineer.
You will need:
- 5+ years working experience in power station or process plant Mechanical and Process Commissioning activities
- ONC / OND in Control Systems engineering
- Strong team spirit, working with an international team and other cultures.
- Good communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Full working rights for the UK
