Role: Site Electrical Commissioning Technician

Length of role: Up to 12 months depending on location

Site Electrical Commissioning Technician required
Hands-on execution of Electrical Commissioning activities for a gas power project in UK, until successful handover to the customer. The scope of activities will be:
- Hands-on commissioning of electrical components and systems such as, transformers, high and low voltage switchgear, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, etc.
- Carrying out testing on electrical systems and equipment, as well as system optimization and troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols.
- Cooperation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors, interacting with customers.
- Ensure all the activities conducted on site follow the correct process in accordance with project requirements and in strict compliance with all EHS requirements.
- Understands and executes the equipment clearance (LOTO) procedure, as well as Job Safety Analysis / Work Authorisation / Confined Space / Hot Work Permits.
- Authorised for planning and executing LV isolations.
- Rectify electrical issues on site, including punch list items.
- Report to the Lead Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer.
You will need:
- 5+ years working experience in power station or process plant Mechanical and Process Commissioning activities with demonstrable experience.
- ONC / OND in Electrical systems engineering
- Strong team spirit, working with an international team and other cultures.
- Good communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Full working rights for the UK
