SalaryAstute’s Renewables team is working with a well-respected biogas company who own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit a Mechanically biased Site Engineer for their site in Spaldington.
The Site Engineer is a vital role and will play a pivotal part in helping the site to run efficiently and minimise downtime. The role comes with a starting salary of �37,000 and benefits include a company pension, life insurance, health & wellbeing program, employee discounts and referral program.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Planned maintenance tasks and recording corrective actions
* Reacting to breakdowns and ensuring a quick response to minimise downtime
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance on the plants assets, such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and valves
* Be responsible for refurbishments and any new installations and fabrications work
* Supervising contractors and ensuring safe systems of work (SSOW)
* Completion of timely, accurate paperwork
* Be part of an on call rota and occasionally work outside of normal working hours
* Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A relevant Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical) and/or time served experience is essential
* A level or equivalent in a STEM subject is desirable
* WAMITAB is desirable
* SAP qualified is desirable
Personal skills
The Site Engineer role would suit someone who is:
* Experienced working in anaerobic digestion or a similar processing environment
* Ability to read and interpret all Engineering Drawings
* Computer literate
* Able to work at heights
* Self-motivated and hardworking
