Site Engineer (Electrician)

Primary responsibility will be to carry out electrical/lighting repairs around the estate as well as carrying out regular testing of the emergency lights.

Qualifications/ Skills

• Communications skills, ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals, designers, and clients.
• Knowledge of current building codes.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient equipment and products.
• Use of testing equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

Education/ Experience

• High school diploma or GCSE.
• NVQ Level 3 - Electrical Installation/Maintenance
• City & Guilds 18th Edition
• 2-3 years residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience (essential) •Experience with new builds (desirable)
• First aid certification (desirable).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Duties:

Regular site inspections to identify electrical issues.

Diagnose and address functionality and safety issues.

Install indoor and outdoor electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

Inspect and test electrical systems - mainly emergency lighting.

To be always proactive in the role, using initiative to improve working practices and to manage time effectively.

Ensure service standards are adhered to and make suggestions to improve service.

Stay apprised of revisions to relevant building and

safety regulations.

Read building plans/drawings.

Document repairs and modifications.

Work with management team, contractors, and clients.

Ensure maintenance records are kept up to date.

Professional Skills:

Record Keeping:

Ensure accuracy and maintenance of client and company records.

Keep trackers on all repairs to ensure items are closed out in a timely manner.

Health & Safety (H&S):

Review and take action as necessary to resolve the issues identified within the reports.

Ensure that general correspondence is dealt with efficiently and in conjunction with the respective party.

Day to day management:

Ensure that a high level of service is always given. Ensure emails and calls are responded to in a timely manner.
