As a Site Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing both Civil Engineering and asphalt surfacing contracts;
- Building strong working relationships with the wider team, Sub-Contractors and Clients;
- Communicating with the Client to solve problems on site or raise technical queries;
- Setting out and Surveying with Dumpy and Laser Levels, GPS and Total Station;
- Reading and manipulating AutoCAD drawings to accurately transfer information to site and preparing as-built drawings;
- Liaising with local authorities to ensure compliance with local construction regulations;
- Taking a proactive approach to managing Health & Safety on site;
- Preparing and delivering RAMS and Site Inductions.
- Keeping site records
- Managing Sub-Contractors’ performance;
- Recording and monitoring planned work versus actual;
- Managing resources on site so that the project is delivered on time.
- Take-offs and ordering of materials as required;
- Measuring completed work for preparation of Client Valuations and Sub-Contractor Payments.
Required Skills and Experience
- Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer to include Principal Contractor experience within Northern Ireland’s construction industry;
- Sound knowledge of Engineering, latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety;
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and surveying equipment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills;
- Full UK Driving License.
