Are you a qualified engineer with a passion for water management? Do you have experience of designing, maintaining and implementing water and sewerage infrastructure projects? If so, we have an exciting Site Engineering opportunity for you.
One of the UK's leading civil engineering contractors with over 80 year's experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland. The company is on multiple water frameworks across the UK and Ireland and is recruiting experienced Site Engineers in the water treatment sector for their sites in the Essex and Suffolk areas.
Your new role
As a Site Engineer, you are expected to:
-Establish effective working relationships with the engineering team and subcontractors.
-Help in setting up systems to monitor and evaluate the work progress based on time, quality, dimensions and quantity.
-Help in documenting and testing the quality and materials of the work, such as drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc.
-Provide engineering support to solve technical issues and answer technical questions
-Ensure that the works are set out within the acceptable limits
-Regularly verify the setting out points and benchmarks and ensure that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly
-Ensures the workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out
-Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work
-Take a proactive approach to ensuring health and safety on site
-Implement a regime of test and inspection plans for all works on site
-Supervise and co-ordinate temporary work as required
What you'll need to succeed
Requirements:
-Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering/ HND in Civil Engineering
-A valid CSCS/CSR Card
-Technical knowledge of construction
-Good knowledge of engineering
-Expert in Microsoft Office Packages
-Good written and verbal communication skills and being able to engage with all stakeholders at all levels
-A valid SMSTS card
-Good knowledge of regulations, legislation and health & safety
What you'll get in return
- £335 - £400/day - for contract role
- £52,000 - £64,000 (DOE) - for permanent roles + other benefits (Car allowance, pension, paid annual leave, etc)
