SalaryThermit Welding, a world leading and strategic supplier to the Rail, Metro and Light Railway Industry, is seeking a Site Facilities Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of their Rainham, Essex, facility.
What you'll be doing:
- Day to day maintenance of the manufacturing plant and machinery.
- Model/Pattern manufacture.
- Light building maintenance.
- Occasional production manufacture/fabrication.
- Provide mentoring to an apprentice.
Skills helpful for the role:
- Must have either of the following qualifications: City & Guilds or NVQ certifications.
- Proven Health & Safety knowledge in machine shop practices.
- Able to operate Pneumatic and Hydraulics equipment.
- Manual milling & turning, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), plasma cutting.
- Ability to understand and work from drawings.
- Ability to work unsupervised and display own initiative.
- Forklift truck licence would be an advantage.
