Site Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Site Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our maintenance team and ensure the effective operation of our facilities. MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR REQUIRED TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING ALL MAINTENANCE TASKS AT OUR VERTICAL FARM IN BRACKNELL. ALSO TO PROVIDE COVER THE SITE OPERATIONS MANAGER IN HIS ABSENCE.

MON-FRI (08:00–17:00) plus occasional weekend working, ON SITE.

Responsibilities:

• General ad-hoc maintenance as required
• Planning maintenance/cleaning schedules around planting and harvesting programs
• Removal and cleaning of growing panels in preparation for next growth programs
• Assisting with crop harvesting/seeding/planting
• Outside general grounds maintenance
• Site deep cleaning
• Assisting the site operations manager
• Confident in being the first point of call at the farm whilst the site operations manager is absent
• Will need to conduct occasional weekend visits (2 hours every other Saturday and Sunday on rota)

Requirements:

• Have a background in agronomy, an understanding of equipment operations and maintenance
• General understanding of aeroponics an advantage.
• Ability and confidence in managing a team
• Must be able to follow instructions and comply with health and safety policies and procedures at all times
• Act in a professional manner and act with a level of urgency when problems occur
• Must communicate clearly and decisively
• Be willing to perform manual handling, and complete manual handling training
• Trustworthy and dependable
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Must have own means of transportation as no public transport near site
• Counterbalance certified preferred but not necessary as training can be provided
