Site Manager – North London

This is a terrific opportunity for a driven Site Manager, with experience working on clean water or wastewater civil engineering projects.

What you will be doing
- Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHESQ department.
- Produce, maintain and update Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments, RAMS and Task Briefings in line with Murphy procedures.
- Ensure that workplaces under their control have effective systems, arrangements, and supervision for providing a safe workplace and suitable welfare facilities.
- Ensure that suitable project specific execution plans are produced reviewed and updated on a regular basis. Ensure their requirements are communicated and understood by all project personnel and any others who may be affected.
- Ensure that all project personnel have the necessary experience, training and knowledge to carry out the duties allocated to them.
- Ensure daily diaries and allocation sheets are up to date.
- Ensure the 4-week lookahead programme is adhered to.
- Work with engineers on setting out information and details of technical information, contributing to the preparation of method statements.
- Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with site team regarding safety, progress, expenditure, costs and programme. (When required)
- Ensure high standard of quality on the works to at least meet the specification requirements.
Who we are looking for
- Experience in delivering Civil Engineering / Construction Schemes – Ideally within the Water Industry
- HNC accreditation or a degree, in Construction Management/Civil Engineering
- Solid health and safety knowledge and will hold a health and safety related qualification.
About the Project J Murphy and Sons are in place to deliver the North London Trunk Mains portfolio in AMP7, valued at over £50M. There are three major schemes valued between £15M
- £20M each. JMS will be rolling over the contract with Thames Water to the end of AMP8 (2030). A further 5 schemes have been identified so far, with the intention for design to begin via ECI before the end of this AMP.
