SITE MANAGER VACANCY

LOCATION: Horsham

CONTRACT TYPE: Freelance

START DATE: March 2024

DURATION: 3 months

RATE: £190 - £230 PER DAY

The Contractor: A well established regional contractor that specialise local authority framework contracts which consist of new build & refurbishment projects for schools, the NHS and government property.

The Project: Cut & carve refurbishmentto an existing school building which will include a traditional build extension with associated internal fit out and roof replacement to the existing block.

The Vacancy: Due to an increase in work load we are seeking a lead Site Manager with extensive experience of managing projects in a stand alone capacity from start to finish.

You role will be to manage the project from enabling works to practical completion managing local subcontractors and direct labour teams.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Monitoring subcontractor progress against programme.
• Health & Safety
• Setting up the site documentation systems.
• Writing reports, maintaining diaries and records.
• Chairing site meetings which will include pre-start with client & contractors, weekly coordination meetings and monthly contract reviews.
• Coordination of site activities including subcontractors, labour and logistics.
• Carrying out site inspections.
• Working closely with the commercial team, external design teams, Engineers and Consultants.
• Providing regular progress updates and holding regular project reviews the visiting Contracts Manager.

The ideal applicant:

• 5 years+ experience in a similar role.
• Good eye for detail.
• Be able to interoperate construction drawings and designs.
• Strong man-management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good level of IT literacy.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid.
