Tasks :
In direct report to the Department Manager, you will work closely with the Project Managers, to whom you will report on construction sites.
You will,
Be the KOHLER representative on the customer site.
- Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff, Project Manager and Dpt Manager.
- Preparing/anticipate all on-site phases before components deliveries to handover (including the commisionning).
- Assessing and minimizing risk.
- Gather the technical documents for the construction site, and prepare the RAMSs (risk assessment method statement).
- Supervising installation workers and hiring subcontractors (if needed).
- Monitoring installation and subcontractors’ costs, and project progress.
- Conducting/Maintaining quality and safety inspections.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
- Motivating the workforce.
- Finding ways to prevent problems from happening and to solve any that crop up.
- Using specialist project management and company tools.
Skills/Requirements
- Knowledge of Gensets, there installations (mechanical, electrical) and commissioning.
- Knowledge of installation methods and regulations.
- Knowledge in DC market (Customers and General contractors).
- Excellent time management and leadership skills.
- Verbal communication skills.
- Good initiative and logical thinking skills.
- Commercial awareness.
Qualifications :
Equivalent experience in permanent heavy equipment construction sites, ideally a successful experience with data center customers.
- A minimum of 5-year experience would be required :
- Strong ability to read project plans, and knowledge in electrical and mechanical.
- Rigor, autonomy.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Strong flexibility – ability to work under tight deadlines, ability to handle multiple tasks through prioritization and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively within a team-oriented environment.
