Salary: Competitive

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 40 hours per week

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Site Operations Manager to join our passionate and driven team based at Hollinwood Avenue, Oldham

To manage all operational activities ensuring safety, service delivery, budgeting and quality is met. This role is fully site based in Oldham and does not include hybrid working. The purpose of the role is to ensure all activities across day and night shifts meet business requirements. This role includes contract retention and growth ensuring continuous improvements are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and manage to the expected standards ensuring the client receives services to the highest quality.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services to the client in line with the consistent approach deployed.
  • Proactive approach to any issues raised using problem solving techniques for best resolution.
  • Provide guidance and development to team leaders ensuring effective handovers are provided as a communication tool.
  • Manage HR processes by following all company policies and procedures such as employee return to works, absence reviews, investigations, disciplinaries and annual leave requests ensuring cover has been obtained.
  • Regular communication with client providing operational updates and resolve any client concerns raised.
  • Hold 121 meetings with team leaders and operatives, arrange annual appraisals and performance manage employees where necessary via documented improvement plan.
  • To Interact and be visible with all employees on the shopfloor and resolve any issues raised in real time.
  • Have a managed approach when issues arise over weekend shifts and effectively communicate resolution with client prior to the start of the new week.
  • Manage, oversee and support site administrator having visibility of all invoicing, billing and ensure monthly payroll has been executed correctly and on-time.
  • Manage all QHSE and compliance documents ensuring all are up to date, review risk assessments and method statements and revise accordingly.
  • Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors are inducted and understand all client site procedures.
  • Follow company accident and incident reporting process including completing investigations and updating client.
  • Undertake recruitment process ensuring roles meet budget requirements, including raising job advertisement, interviewing candidates, and complete on-boarding process in line with company right to work policy.
  • Complete weekly shift rota and distribute to OCS team leaders ensuring resourcing meets client’s expectations.
  • Monitor uniform and PPE stock levels ensuring all operatives have been issued with correct PPE, replenish by ordering more stock when required.
  • Check all employees are wearing company branded uniform provided in accordance with uniform policy.
  • Manage training and development programme for all employees through the e-learning Opportunity (online training platform) and site-specific training ensuring this has been completed by employees and update training matrix.
  • Weekly operations call with wider group to discuss site activity to ensure the Reach contract is running smoothly.
  • Complete weekly report outlining activities, concerns and client requests.
  • Ensure excellent communication and technology provided is used effectively.
  • Conduct monthly compliance audit of production areas based on QHSE, housekeeping, document compliance etc.
  • Ensure all actions raised on client tracker are prioritised and completed in timely manner.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement through the account.
