Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Site Operative in Corby, UK. The main purpose of this role is to support the site milling team to achieve production requirements including a high standard of health & safety, food safety, high quality (to include minimal waste) and cost control. The longer-term purpose is to gain the skills to be able to fulfill the role of a Miller in the future.
- Working safely at all times with particular focus on adhering to ADM life critical standards
- Carefully following procedures that help to ensure high standards of food safety and product quality
- Completion of cleaning and hygiene requirements as per the allocated schedule
- Maintain a high focus on milling KPI targets (e.g. - wheat extraction, maximise throughput & minimise downtime)
- Laboratory testing of wheat and flour samples to ensure high quality standards
- Effective communication with all departments to ensure efficient operations
- Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
- Production planning
- Efficient supervision of mill machinery
- Completion of any identified training and development programmes (e.g. the 7 NABIM exams)
- Weighbridge operations when required
- Familiarity with common Microsoft Applications
- GSCE educated, with grade C or above (or equivalent) in mathematics, science and English
- Problem solving skills
- Good time management
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience within the food or manufacturing industry
