Site Operative Mechanical

Rapier Employment are working with a niche-market engineering company who are leaders within this field and are on the look-out for a Site Operative (Mechanical) to join their rapidly expanding production team. 
Our client's head office is based on the outskirts of Retford, with great links to the A1.
Main Responsibilities:- 
This role will be based at various locations accross the UK (Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00) with the require of regular overnight stays. As our client specialises in unique products, the work will vary on a day-to-day basis. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Mechanical engineering, installation site works
- Working with hand tools and equipment to complete site works
- Working to risk assessment method statements with site supervisor
- Physical demands such as loading and unloading goods from vehicles, stacking of goods into storage bays and site working conditions
Key Skills:-
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to have a practical and logical approach to building from parts to a completed product (think Meccano but on a much larger scale!) , alongside:
Mechanical Fitting
Understanding of working to health and safety requirements
Experience of working within a team
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work away from home Monday - Friday
Full UK driving licence - essential due to driving company vehicle!

It is desirable, but not essential, the candidate will come from a manufacturing, fabricating or a workshop environment, whilst also obtaining a GREEN CSCS CARD.
