AddressScalexperts have partnered with a firm based in London who are looking for an experienced SRE manager who remains hands-on, to come on board and help them grow out their SRE function. This would be a role that involves a lot of greenfield work due to this being a brand new hire. They are looking for someone with excellent hands-on experience with Kubernetes, and a solid background in software engineering in any language. This is an opportunity for someone to come in at a senior level in a newly created SRE function and put their mark on it.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Previous experience within an SRE role - with solid knowledge of SRE principles
- In-depth knowledge of Kuberenetes of containerisation
- Experience with Linux
- Previous line management experience - preferably having built teams before
- Demonstrable experience of improving the robustness, reliability and scalability of a platform
- Background in software engineering is a necessity with an ability to code in ideally python or java
- Experience with other cloud tools such as Terraform and Grafana would be highly beneficial but not essential
The firm operate a hybrid model and operate with 3 days/week in the office which is based in West London.
