Shorterm Group are currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor - Supporting on an engineering project for a very well-established Automotive engineering company based in the Coventry area - up to £50,000 DOE, based from home, will be working 90% of the time on site, car allowance.
Summary:
Supporting the Site Manager in site preparation before the start of production activities, ensuring the accurate execution of work according to the project plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinating and controlling the designated system/line from design to customer acceptance.
* Assisting the Site Manager in resource allocation, workload management, and efficiency.
* Ensuring health and safety standards on the customer site.
* Verifying compliance with standards and best practices.
* Motivating the site team to achieve project goals.
* Evaluating and accepting supplier tenders.
* Participating in site planning, budget definition, and workforce planning.
* Guaranteeing compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Managing known risks and unforeseen events.
* Overseeing supplier activities and attending review meetings.
* Ensuring timely completion of quality site milestones.
* Reviewing project drawings and specifications.
* Coordinating employees/contractors, reporting issues to the Site Manager.
* Conducting regular inspections and maintenance.
* Assisting in the preparation of health and safety reports.
* Managing employee attendance records and time sheets.
* Supervising Open Issues list and Site Closure activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
Demonstrating proficiency in various technologies and manufacturing processes, including but not limited to:
* FDS Technology
* GMAW Technology
* Hemming Technology
* Laser Technology
* Sealing Technology
* Spot Welding Technology
* SPR Technology
* Vision Technology
* Motion Control Systems (Lenze, Siemens, SEW)
* HMI
* Automation concepts, software, and robotic applications
* Electrical drawings and documentation
* Integrated technologies
* Materials and resource allocation
* Project planning and monitoring
* Technical reports creation
* Problem-solving and decision-making methodology
* Project Management knowledge (Scope, Time, Cost, Risk, Human Resources, Stakeholders
management, Communication, etc.)

Qualifications:
* Education: High school diploma required, with reading comprehension of technical documents.
* Previous experience: A minimum of ten years of relevant work experience, including experience in
Mission Critical.
* Languages: Intermediate proficiency in English, with a second language recommended
