The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Location | Fabrication Facilities, Scarva BT63 6NL.
Hours | 4 Days Per Week. Monday – Thursday 16.45 – 03.45
Salary | Competitive depending on experience
Responsible to | Fabrication Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Fabrication Management team to establish each project’s requirements.
- Complete a Daily Handover with the Dayshift Supervisor.
- Provide Feedback with an Operations report, highlighting daily achievements and issues that will include any Non-conformances.
- Manage a Team that will include Saw, Prep, Fabrication and Weld.
- Read and understand fully the construction drawings for each project.
- Ensuring Time Sheets for Employees on site are filled in correctly.
- Ensure production units match all approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
- Ensuring the project proceeds in a timely manner and in accordance with the project programs
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and completing safety inspections and ensuring overall site safety is up kept and assist H&S team
- Ensure company H&S policies & procedure is adhered to onsite.
- Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to onsite.
- Maintaining quality control procedures.
- Ensure all waste is disposed in appropriate skips.
- Set a personal example to those who come under your control.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a fabricator, preferably in a site–based environment.
- Must have at least 1 year experience as Supervisor within a yard or site-based environment
- Previous experience as a Backshift Supervisor with a Minimum 10 Employees.
- Proven Track record with Problem solving and decision making.
- Experience of carrying out weld inspections.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate Microsoft Office & Excel
- Organised and structured approach to your work
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with a varied portfolio of work.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good attendance and timekeeping record
- Good interpersonal Skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
