£380 per day

Project Scope
Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Fire Alarm & Detection systems and Gas Suppression Systems (Novec).
The successful Candidate will be site-based and be involved from the initial Site Setup/Establishment, through to the Installation stage and ultimately Project Completion (i.e Commissioning, Training & Handover).
We are looking for someone with ideally a Fire Alarm installation/projecting background or experience and electrical background in trade as majority of the works on site are electrical.
Competence:
The candidate should:
- Possess good Computer literacy, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Have excellent People Management skills and have the ability to liaise with all members of the Project Hierarchy, i.e. Subcontract Labour/Operatives, TManagement, Client, etc.
- Be able to work to a Programme of Works and record delays if/when required to a clear/sufficient standard to demonstrate delays.
- Be experienced and diligent in the enforcement of Health & Safety requirements/controls/inspections, etc.
- Have the experience and ability to perform Point of Work Risk Assessments that may be required in conjunction with and/or in addition to more generic RAMS documentation.
- Be experienced in working to a strict ‘Permit to Work’ system.
- In addition, the following competence / experience would be beneficial (not mandatory):
- Experience in working with the specific systems included within Tyco’s Scope of Works.
- Experience with working in a Supervisor / Site-Manager Role for a Principal Contractor.
Day to Day Roles/Activities:
- Attend Progress Meetings with Client as client Representative
- Ensure compliance of Installation works with Project Inspection & Test Plans
- Coordination of workfaces for Tyco’s various disciplines
- Management of Subcontractors – actively ensuring the progression of works in accordance with Programme aswell as ensuring Subcontractors are performing (being Tyco’s on-site eyes and ears).
- Performing Health & Safety audits on the Subcontractors and of upcoming workfaces to proactively ensure Safety to all Operatives.
- Performing and maintaining Inspection Records for Plant / Equipment.
- Compiling info for weekly progress reports – Mark up drawings, photos etc.
- Delivering site EHS Info – Inductions, Toolbox talks, specific site notices etc.
- Completing, updating & filling all necessary paperwork for the contract site file
- Maintaining stock levels to ensure that subcontractors can progress works efficiently
