Star Central, which is based at our head office in Blackburn, Lancashire, provides leadership, strategic direction and support to Star Academies, Star Institute and our schools.

Who we’re looking for
An opportunity has arisen for a Site Supervisor to join the Business Support Team on a fixed term basis until December 2025.
The successful candidate will provide site support at the Central Office of Star Academies, ensuring all aspects of maintenance and security in line with Health and Safety guidance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- General caretaker experience, with the ability to carry out repairs and maintenance, painting etc.
- Good communication skills, with staff, governors, visitors, emergency services staff and contractors
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety including COSHH regulations
- Strong knowledge of good security practices
- Flexibility to work some hours outside normal working hours.
The successful candidate will be required to open and secure the Central Offices each morning at 6am and evening at 8pm, Monday to Friday. Other working hours will be negotiated.
Additional hours may be necessary on occasions.
