Princess Yachts are currently recruiting for skilled Carpenters/Joiners to work across their sites in Plymouth.

Our ideal candidates will have experience in performing high standard Carpentry with exceptional attention to detail and knowledge with extensive use of hand skills.
Pay Rate
£16.62 per hour
This is the pay rate which will be on your contract.
Pay Method
Wages paid direct into UK bank account on a weekly basis.
Overtime
The first 15 hours over your contracted hours will be paid at Premium 1 £21.21
Additional hours thereafter will be paid at Premium 2 £27.16
Sundays and Bank holidays are also paid at Premium 2
Hours of Work
Princess Yachts operate various shifts of which you will need to be flexible for either:
4 day - Monday to Thursday 7.00am – 5.00pm
3 day - Weekend Shift - Friday to Sunday.6.00am – 6.00pm
38 hours per week or 34.5 hours per week. Flexibility to move between the above shifts at 4 weeks’ notice is required.
Backshift / Late Shift / Early Shift / Weekend Late Shift – These are also potential shifts which are in place within the business where 2 weeks’ notice will be given. Shifts attract a premium rate.
Holiday Entitlement
8 Standard Bank Holiday days. Additional holiday allowance will vary depending on which shift you are allocated. All details will be stated in your contract.
Location of Work
You will work at one of six Princess Yachts' sites in and around Plymouth – Newport Street, South Yard, Coypool, Langage or Lee Mill. Successful applicants will be advised of their specific work site when employment is confirmed. You may be required to move between sites during your employment.
Employment Status
Princess Yachts will offer a permanent contract with a probation period of 11months, of which your performance and attendance will be monitored regularly via reviews with your manager
Pre-Entry Qualifications/Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery required (or equivalent). Either 5 years’ experience or an NVQ Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery required
