Skilled Team Worker (Parks & Cemeteries)

You will be expected to lead a small team and be responsible for the upkeep of the Council's Parks, Cemeteries and be passionate about maintaining outdoor spaces to the highest standards with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality results.

The focus of your work will be operating a large area mower during the growing season and occasional tractor driving. You will also be trained as a relief grave digger to work in our cemeteries.

You must have proven experience and knowledge of grounds maintenance techniques and best practice including working in grounds maintenance using large and small plant. Specifically, you will be capable of operating and maintaining five gang or triple mowers and driving tractors and using any attached equipment adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery. You are required to have experience of organising workloads and an ability to communicate this effectively with your supervisors and team members.

You will hold a full driving licence for vehicles up to Cat C Heavy Goods Vehicle as there may be a requirement for you to work in other service areas.

You will also be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check as work may be undertaken on school grounds.
