TheTechnical Managerrole sits within Energy Saving Trust’s Insight and Evaluation team, reporting into the Senior Manager – Insight & Evaluation. In this role you have the opportunity to lead Energy Saving Trust’s fast-growing and exciting sustainability consultancy services. The team
The insight & evaluation team is integral to the data, research and content the Energy Saving Trust produces. The work the team does is hugely varied from calculating the savings that can be achieved through making energy efficiency changes, to modelling the impact of new technologies to providing content for energy efficiency training to researching consumers attitudes towards government policy and assessing the impact that programmes deliver.
The team work individually on projects but also work closely together sharing ideas and working through complex problems or scenarios ensuring that knowledge sharing, and knowledge development is at the forefront of everything we do.
Working within the team and at the Energy Saving Trust more broadly will allow you to use your experience and skills, whilst improving your knowledge and having the space and opportunity to grow within a friendly, supportive team.
What you’ll do
You will lead on Energy Saving Trust’s Net Zero services for our diverse public and private sector clients. This will involve developing products, growing a business unit, training and leading a team of Net Zero specialists to calculate and report emissions and deliver Net Zero plans in line with science-based targets.
You will apply your technical knowledge to develop the best solution for clients across Net Zero strategy development through desk reviews, data collection, data analysis, reporting and providing action plans and recommendations.
Your ability to plan and prioritise work is essential in this busy environment, along with demonstrated effective communication skills enabling you to deliver a high standard of customer service to people at different levels. Your experience in delivering Net Zero consultancy will underpin the successful delivery of this role.
What you’ll bring
- ISO 14064-1, and SECR reporting with demonstrable experience of applying this in a commercial environment.
- An ability to process data into meaningful insights coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to work with clients, positively influence as well as inform in order to deliver the insight required.
- An ability to lead and develop a team to continue the growth of the consultancy services whilst maintaining an excellent client satisfaction.
- An ability to manage clients effectively with demonstrable experience of working with external and internal clients and managing multiple clients at once.
