We are a Small Animal practice based in Basingstoke in the heart of North Hampshire. Basingstoke is situated near the cities of Reading and Winchester and has efficient transport links to surrounding town centres as well as the capital, which proves to be an extremely popular place for commuters to live. Basingstoke is in an ideal location with excellent links to both the M3 and M4 motorways as well as only being 45 minutes from Waterloo on the train. Basingstoke is surrounded by beautiful rural villages and countryside where you can enjoy long walks and quaint country pubs. We also have Festival place shopping centre which offers a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants.
Our practice was established well over 40 years ago as an independent practice, and in that time, we’ve grown to reflect the people and patients around us. In recent years we have become part of IVC Evidensia and have built a happy, enjoyable place to work, and a lot of our team live locally and love the area.
We are a supportive team of 1 permanent Vet, 1 Locum Vet, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 1 VCA and we class ourselves as more of a small family who enjoy regular outings. You will be working alongside experienced Vets, Nurses, VCAs and Client care team some of which have over 20 years’ experience.
Our practice includes in house Dermatology consultations – With a visiting Dermatologist., a visiting Orthopaedic team, in house blood machine, a new ultrasound machine, laser therapy, tonopen, digital x-ray, multiparameter, anaesthetic monitoring, blood pressure machine, ECG and dental machine.
Step into a supportive start
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week over a 4 day week 8am - 6pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am - 12 noon.
Alongside the IVC Evidensia Graduate Academy you will be provided with unwavering support by a very experienced and knowledgeable Veterinary team who strive to encourage new graduates to thrive in their chosen profession.
