We are now recruiting for a Small Pack Key Operativeto join us. Reporting to the Small Pack Shift Manager, this role will be responsible for helping the packaging team/shift achieve quality and efficiency based KPI’s on our state-of-the-art packaging line.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage machine changeovers to ensure efficient size and product changes (to minimize line down time)
- Produce food safe products that are true to brand in the most efficient manner
- Complete and document quality assurance checks, covering; quality, food safety and HACCP. Providing Quality Assurance to our customers
- Assist engineers during machine breakdowns (to minimize line down time)
- Health & Safety minded
- Ownership of hygiene within working area
Hours
You’ll be working 40 hours per week on rotating shift patterns of 10pm-6am, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday. You maybe be required to work flexibly around these hours and will be required to work bank holidays which you’ll get back in lieu. You may also be required to work up to an additional 10.6 shifts per year.
Experience and Key Attributes required:
- A good understanding of packaging machines and experience in the food industry
- Has worked in a lean manufacturing environment
- Has a strong track record of performance of production and packaging line with an awareness of how they can effect line efficiency
- Preferably an FLT license Holder
- Thinks ahead and communicates clear with the team and key stakeholders
- Conscientious, with desire to develop as a skilled operative
- Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft programmes
- Knowledge or experience of using a SAP system
