Job description

The role is responsible for design and development and creation of the end of end communication assets used for delivery of our Smart Metering Customer Journey. This role will lead build and execute of the various channel communications which reflect our brand, culture, and values of Affinity Water with our customer base. They will in partnership with other Marketing and Communication / Asset colleagues on delivery of a suite a material which support implementation of our Smart Metering Programme.

The material developed will work within the Governance Framework and be used to support trial, pilot, and full project implementation of our Smart Metering Journey (including responses to emergencies such as crises, events, or setbacks with an eye on supportive messaging and consistency of delivery).

The role contributes to promotion of informing, sharing, supporting, and building our brand awareness for the outcomes to be delivered.

The role works pan-business with strong alignment and consistency of Marketing & Communication, Public Affairs and Internal Communication which meets Affinity Water’s holistic narrative and tone for written, social and advertisement media channels

You will have outstanding customer focus with a proven track record of delivering success. You will work closely with all other directorates (such as Regulation, People, Asset Management and Customer Delivery) to ensure positive customer centric material is delivered which enhances our brand reputation. Core accountability areas of the role are:

  • Establish and drive a multi-channel customer communication strategy for Smart Metering Journey.
  • Prepare and manage all communications Smart Metering material pan-business.
  • Assist in the creation of Smart Metering digital, video, audio, and print content via providing technical content into the specialist teams.
  • Ensure AW fully comply with all regulatory licenses, codes, and guidance, including charging rules and competition law for material produced and published.
  • Evaluate the outcomes and views of the communication in order we learn and adapt the communication material whilst working within time, cost, quality parameters (as set out by the Smart Metering Programme).
  • You'll possess the personal gravitas and credibility to engage, challenge and influence a wide range of internal and external senior stakeholders whilst supporting delivery within cross-functional teams in a matrix approach.
