About the role
Fleet UK have a great opportunity available for a SMART Repair Technician to join our newly created talented team in our new preparation centre.
As a FleetUK Smart Repair Technician, you will be always thinking of how to achieve the highest standards in customer service utilising your technical knowledge and professional attitude. You must be able to work efficiently producing high quality repairs in a timely manner. As a Smart Repair Technician, you will support others in this busy environment.
We are looking for someone who is passionate to deliver the highest possible standard of repair with strong attention to detail. Strong time management and organisational skills are also required as you will ensure that assigned jobs are completed within estimated times.
Duties will include:
Alloy wheel refurbishment
Used car/van preparation for resale
Attending to and repairing scratches, scuffs and dents
Windscreen abrasion/chip repair not a deal breaker
General interior refurbishment
Carrying out all repairs according to best practice procedures
Meeting acceptable safety and quality standards
Interpreting and implementing technical instruction data
Using all paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment accurately for all paint repairs
Ensuring that all vehicles comply with safety standards
Working within agreed time parameters
About you:
Qualified to a minimum of ATA or NVQ
Possess at least 2 years workshop experience
Confident in minor damage repairs / preparing vehicles for paint / paint mixing & application / polishing
Basic IT skills
Great team player and communication skills
Experienced in working to efficiency targets
A full UK driving licence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £39,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
