Permanent, Shift working over seven days
£30,562 - £31,220 pro rata / £15.84 - £16.18 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
The Glaitness Centre is located in Kirkwall and comprises purpose built supported accommodation, a short breaks house, and day care facilities for individuals with physical disabilities.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team. You will adopt a person centered approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users within the Supported Accommodation, Short Breaks and Day Service.
You will provide support and assistance, working collaboratively with service users to maximise individuals' independence using a re-ablement approach and also encouraging regular access to community facilities. You should have some experience of working with people with disabilities.
Applicants should hold SVQ2 Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with the SSSC or, where the essential qualification is not held, will be required to achieve this within 5 years of appointment.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
