Castle Fine Art is the UK’s leading group of retail art galleries, with 37 galleries nationwide. We are seeking a maternity replacement to manage our Social Media strategy for a period of up to 12 months. Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, you will own and implement the Social Media strategy across multiple platforms, creating engaging content tailored to the audience of each channel. You will be writing content that aligns with our tone of voice and brand guidelines, and collaborating with our in-house design studio to create engaging digital assets. You will manage the content calendar, optimising posting time where possible as well as supporting our network of galleries via the promotion of local activities to drive awareness and footfall.
You will instil best practice, adopt new functionality where necessary and ensure quality in order to deliver greater reach and engagement. With a passion for the ever-changing social landscape and how it can change the direction of a business, you will be continuously tracking and evaluating the success of all social campaigns, identifying areas of opportunity to drive performance.

Located in The Mailbox, Birmingham a short walk from New St Station, you will be based in our new state-of-the-art office space opposite our flagship gallery. “Welcome to the family” is the first thing you will hear from our Managing Director Ian Weatherby-Blythe when you join, as well as meeting our friendly and passionate marketing team of over 15 people.
The must haves:
- A deep understanding of social platforms, driven by personal ambition for how social can change the way companies do business.
- Be able to effectively communicate Social Media activity to colleagues and the wider business
- A “test and learn” mentality and not afraid to take the initiative and test new strategies
- Excellent command of written English
- Highly organised – this role will involve managing multiple projects at once
- An interest in the art industry, with a desire to learn about our artwork and artists
- Degree/professional qualification in marketing.
- Some previous experience managing company Social Media presence
- Flexible attitude to work, and understanding that due to the nature of the work, out-of-office hours work may be required.
