About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team at Strathberry.  This role will lead the management of existing Strathberry social channels, with the key objectives of building and managing communities that increase brand awareness, content reach, and generate positive sentiment, whilst driving increased traffic to site.

The ideal candidate will be a mix of analytical and technical, with a good eye for content and will have experience across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest.

Contract Type: Permanent and full-time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Please note: this role can be based in Edinburgh or London.  We currently operate a hybrid model of blended home (2 days) and office working (3 days), either at our Head Office in Edinburgh city centre, or from our London office on Kings Road.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Community building and engagement
  • Creating and implementing a suite of channel-specific plans to build community and increase engagement.
  • Community management - engaging in conversations and comments across our owned channels, brand-appropriate conversations with influencers, wholesale and other social users, to improve reach.
  • Working collaboratively with the Customer Service team to resolve any customer enquiries.
  • Share contacts and messages internally, highlighting influencers or other potential partnerships that have come via social.
  • Scheduling Social Media posts across all our active platforms.
  • Owning the social editorial calendar and curating our social feeds to create the perfect balance of self-shot content, campaign creative, and influencer content.
  • Ensuring content is planned, scheduled and posted ensuring alignment with the ecommerce, marketing and social-relevant moments.
  • Expanding publishing beyond focus channels to increase brand reach, maximising dormant platforms and products withing existing.
  • Leveraging functionality in the social platforms to invite feedback and initiate conversations.
  • Create UTM tags for post links to measure the performance of social on our site.
  • Develop a best practice link in bio approach to offer followers the quickest route to commerce or content online.
  • Writing post copy that’s channel appropriate, on brand, support SEO and encourage dialogue.
  • Analytics and reporting - regularly ongoing analysis of what’s working best and using the resulting insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Test new platform features and report on their effectiveness.
  • Monitoring competitor activity to continually evolve our idea of what best-in-class content looks like in the luxury space.
  • Contribute to weekly meetings with what’s coming up on social to align needs to the wider team.
  • Supporting the Creative Content Manager with the production of social-first content.
  • Reporting on trends to identify those that Strathberry should embrace and brief for production.
  • Curation if UGC and influencer content.
  • Attending events and visiting stores to build and share content.

About You:

To be a star candidate, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest.
  • Highly analytical with a good understanding of social in the fashion space.
  • Tuned in to current culture to identify content and community opportunities.
  • A good understanding of Social Media platforms, the nuances of performance and the ability to develop tactics to build growth, reach and traffic.
  • Good copywriting skills and strong understanding of brand tone of voice.  
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise workflows, with the ability to work under pressurised and to deadline.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
