A confident Social Media Officer is needed to join a specialist team for a leading campaigning and lobbying organisation that actively combat the persecution of wild animals for 'sport' in the modern world. This is a key role where you will manage the social media presence to promote the charity's campaigns, drive engagement and encourage action from the online community, be it campaigning, fundraising or advocacy.
The role will be remote, but it is expected you will attend the office in Godalming at least once a month and support campaigns activities when required.
This leading UK charity established in 1924 campaigns to stop cruelty to animals associated with sports such as hunting with dogs, game bird shooting, snaring, dog fighting and wildlife crime. It successfully uses criminal investigations, campaigning and lobbying to make a difference in the UK and around the world.
Working at the forefront of the charity, the Social Media Officer has a varied role in which you will wear multiple hats, serving as the Content Wizard responsible for gathering and scheduling creative content, a Community Builder engaging with our online supporters, and a Team Player collaborating seamlessly across teams. In the role of Campaign Architect, you will design compelling Social Media calendars to enhance audience engagement. Your Creative Genius side will be essential in crafting high-quality, captivating content across various media formats to broaden our online presence. Additionally, your role as a Data Whiz will involve leveraging Social Media analytics to help inform and refine our strategic approach. This multifaceted position is pivotal in driving the success of our campaigns, fostering community engagement, and expanding our charity's impact online.
To qualify... You should be a Social Media Officer / Social Media Co-Ordinator / Online Community Manager or similar who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in Social Media content management and engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of online marketing strategies and channels
- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in creating creative content (text, images, videos)
