Job Description:

Position: Permanent Social Science Teacher

Location: Bexley

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Science Teacher to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate should possess strong teaching skills, subject knowledge and be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students.

Responsibilities:

- Teach Social Science to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and policies - Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater for the needs of individual students and the wider class - Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents - Create a positive learning environment that promotes student participation and engagement - Foster positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community - Keep up-to-date with educational developments and teaching methodologies - Contribute to the development of the Social Science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Previous experience teaching Social Science to students in a secondary school setting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach a range of topics within the Social Science curriculum - Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues - Commitment to ongoing professional development
