Social Sciences Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Social Sciences, specialising in Psychology and Religious Education, to join our vibrant Social Sciences Department. This role offers a stimulating and supportive working environment, with a commitment to professional development and progression.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons in Psychology and Religious Education to students aged 11-18.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences Department to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in the school’s CPD programme to further develop teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Encourage students to embody the school’s moral code of honesty, kindness, courage, and diligence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in Psychology, Religious Education, or a related Social Science subject.
  • Experience teaching Psychology and/or Religious Education at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and pedagogical approaches in Social Sciences.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos of community, equality, and striving for excellence.
  • Ability to foster engagement, character, community, and ownership among students.
