Social Work Assistant - Adults Services - Various teams
Pay rate starting at £14.17 per hour (holiday pay accrued on top of this)
Social Work Assistants are required to join Adults Social Services within the following teams:
- Community Learning Disabilities
- Short term team
- 18+ generic neighbourhood teams
Contracts will run for an initial 3 months with potential to extend beyond this period. This is an excellent opportunity for a student Social Worker to gain some experience in a statutory Adults Services team who has some availability as well as as someone with a strong background in Adults Services i.e a reviewing officers / deputy team manager from a residential background etc. Ideally you will be able to work on a full time basis of 37 hours per week. These roles can offer an immediate start. Pay rate for this position is starting at £14.17 per hour, holidays will be paid on top of this either weekly or accrued for when you would like to be paid holiday.
These posts will require the workers to assist in the provision of care management services, enabling individuals to sustain independence through a combination of assessment and other practical interventions. You will need to offer appropriate information, advice and signposting to alternative services to meet identified need.
To apply for this role, you will have ideally have experience of working within Adults Services and undertaking assessments of people, their families and carers. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team would be highly advantageous as would use of WICCIS, although not essential. A car driver is also essential for this position as you will be required to travel across the borough. Mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
