Senior Social Worker - Barnet Council - £38.50 p/h

Randstad are recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join Barnet Council's Intervention & Planning Team. This is a fantastic full-time role offering up to £38.50 per hour, with the added promise of high quality supervision, ensuring an ideal balance between reflective practice and candidate accountability.
The ideal candidate will have experience within Court Work/Children in Need/Child Protection and supporting the Whole Family Approach, with a passion for following a holistic approach.

Responsibilities:
- You will undertake assessment, planning, intervention and reviews (APIR) over a diverse range of child cases, covering child protection to looked after children cases
- You will work within a Resilience framework to provide a comprehensive and effective integrated social work service
- You will be given the opportunity to develop and deliver an integrated approach for families, in order to improve well being, learning engagement and promote the life chances of vulnerable children
- You will coordinate, and take a lead role in multi-professional/ agency core groups and other professional meetings
- You will contribute towards a multidisciplinary approach, integrating within a team of allied health professionals in those cases where children are subject to safeguarding plans
- You will develop and maintain competent ethical practise
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree
- Communication, analytic and leadership skills
- Experience of direct work with Children in Need and their families
- Enhanced DBS
